Children’s hospital charity day
Here at North Street Dental, we have a charity day every year on the run-up to Christmas. This year it was to raise money for the Birmingham Children’s Hospital, Ward 8. They help children with Alpha 1 liver and lung disease.
Our dental nurse Ann has a grandson Max, who was very poorly when he was younger and spent a great deal of time on Ward 8. The whole team that cared for him made such an impact for the entire family and with Max’s recovery.
On Monday 10th December we all went Red. We wore silly Christmas Antennas and ate far too many mince pies. Our staff all ‘enthusiastically’ performed in a seasonal video – the twelve days of Christmas, but with a dental twist. You can watch it above, then head over to our Facebook page and see a version that’s not quite as slick.
We organised a raffle, and with the help of our generous patients raised money for this great cause. We won’t have a final figure of how much we have raised until the Children’s Hospital let us know after the holidays. We will continue to collect donations up until we close for Christmas.
To see more of the excellent charity work they do at the Birmingham Children’s Hospital take a few minutes to have a look at their website.
