A patient once asked me what makes North Street Dental and Implant Clinic so successful. My answer was simple: You do.

Everything that has been developed at this independent, family-friendly dental practice is the sum total of our patients’ wishes. Early on we determined that whoever came through our doors they should leave having had a good experience with us.

We are about permanence and seeing the same dentist; we’re about high-end quality; and about achieving happy clinical outcomes for our patients. We are also about getting to know those for whom we are privileged to care and about patients knowing our clinicians.

We’re about consistency – we’re not going anywhere – and we’re about re-imagining the experience of going to the dentist.

Practice Principal Steven Burchell DipCDT RCS(Eng) GDC 108353 (UK)

The core ethos of our clinic is a direct result of listening and responding.

Our patients wanted a secure, off-road car park and now we have ample, safe parking on the premises; they asked for easy wheelchair access, and a level entry point – the steep steps at the front are no longer used, and we have a drop-off point directly by our reception area at the rear of the building; they wanted airy, light, ground-floor surgeries and we now have two as well as another couple on the first floor; and they wanted to know we care – we certainly do, and we undertake to engage with our patients at every stage of their treatment journey.

My team is enthusiastic about the dentistry we provide – for me the ultimate creative fusion of science and art – and we are continually driven by the synergy of its life-changing potential.

Steven Burchell

Graduating with honours, Steven trained at the George Brown College, Toronto, Canada. A lifetime career in dental technology provides a trustworthy platform for his clinical special interest – the prescribing of quality prosthetics.

Dr Owain Rees

Clinical Lead GDC 61576 (UK)

BDS, DGDP (UK), Dip Imp Dent (UCL)
With more than 25 years’ experience placing dental implants, Owain cares for our implant patients but also takes on general dentistry cases. First working in hospital oral surgery, he was in the vanguard of UK implant dentistry.

Dr Kunal Kumar Agarwal

Dr Kunal qualified from the University of Liverpool and has since developed a strong interest in restorative and aesthetic dentistry. He is currently working towards a postgraduate diploma to further refine his skills and provide the highest standard of care. Kunal enjoys helping patients feel more confident in their smiles by combining function with natural-looking results. Outside of dentistry, he enjoys playing the drums and keeping active in the gym.

Rebecca Price

Practice Manager GDC 276281 (UK)

Rebecca is our Practice Manager who joined the team in 2024, bringing nearly a decade of experience in dentistry, initially qualifying as a dental nurse in 2017, Rebecca brings a lot of skills & knowledge to her new role. Outside of work Rebecca likes to spend time with her husband and cat, travelling and reading.

Sophie Mae Alani

Dental Therapist GDC 264333 (UK)

Sophie our Hygienist Therapist has been at the practice almost 10 years. She takes referrals from all clinicians to clean teeth, treat gum disease and maintain implant & denture treatments. Sophie also provides Direct Access where patients can book for hygiene treatment without a referral. All appointments can include Airflow treatments for the latest technology in gentle cleaning and stain removal.

Ann Hart

Lead Dental Nurse GDC 117784 (UK)

The much-loved Ann works primarily with Sophie and has been a ‘fixture’ at the North Street practice for nearly 40 years under three different owners. She has witnessed major transformations in the fabric of the building and dental medicine.

Phil Willetts

Dental Technician GDC 274216 (UK)

Phil has been at North Street Dental as part of the Denture Clinic team since 2014. A talented dental technician, Phil has helped make many smiles a success over the years. Within the clinic, Phil enjoys working by himself but is often delivering a funny one liner to anyone who enters the lab. Outside of work, Phil has his holidays lined up every year and enjoys travelling to different parts of the world with his family.

Lydia Zare

Dental Nurse GDC 255082 (UK)

Lydia has been at the practice since 2013 and is a highly experienced Dental Nurse. Primarily, Lydia works with Practice Principal Steve and is involved in treatment planning for patients receiving denture and implant treatment. In her spare time, Lydia loves to spend time with her family and friends, especially in the summer!

Charlotte South

Charlotte joined the North Street Dental team in 2024, working alongside our implant dentist Dr Rees. Charlotte has been a qualified nurse for 22 years. In her spare time she enjoys listening to Podcasts, travelling and fine dining.

Sophie Agnew

Dental Nurse GDC 333995 (UK)

Sophie joined the team in 2023 as a trainee dental nurse while completing her Dental Nursing Diploma, qualifying in 2025. She now works closely with Practice Principal Steve in the Denture Clinic, as well as alongside Dr Kunal Agarwal. In her spare time, Sophie enjoys spending time with her horse, Fizz.

Sandra Hickinbottom

Receptionist

Sandra has been a part of the North Street Dental team since 2018. A familiar voice to many, Sandra works as one of the dental reception team to keep the clinic running smoothly. Sandra is always happy to help! Outside of work, Sandra loves a holiday and spends a lot of time with her family and friends.

Kelly Williamson

Receptionist

Kelly has been part of the North Street Dental team since 2023. Always ready with a welcoming smile, you will find Kelly working our busy reception desk on a Monday and Tuesday. Outside of work Kelly is a busy mom of two who loves shopping and socialising.

As soon as I got there, everything was done so professionally. What really impressed me the most was, how concerned I have been coping during the covid-19 situation. Sophie and her colleagues dealt with me with great care and compassion because I had informed them that I was a bit apprehensive. Through the treatment, I eventually felt at ease. I really have found the best place, because I know not everyone enjoys a visit to the dentist but I certainly do. I would truly recommend anyone to come and experience what I have.
