Happy New Year from all at the Denture Clinic! Have you made your New Years resolutions this year? Maybe to eat less chocolate, to do more exercise or to pick up a hobby? A common resolution is to keep on top of our health and taking care of ourselves. Taking care of your mouth and dentures should also be in this list to keep things in good health!
After receiving dentures, it is essential that they are well looked after and taken care of to make the most of them and increase their longevity. Not just your dentures but your mouth as well needs regular checks with a Dental Care Professional.
Even as a full denture wearer with no natural teeth, your mouth and dentures need to be examined once a year by a Dental Care Professional. With natural teeth and implants, you should also be seeing the Dentist at least once yearly or more if recommended.
When regularly having your mouth checked, we look for signs of ill-fitting or worn dentures, trauma and oral cancer. Your implants and natural teeth will also be examined to check their health at these appointments too.

We hope to see you in during the year! Make caring for your mouth and dentures one of this year’s resolutions.
