Sweat reduction injections (Hyperhidrosis)
Sweat reduction injections overview
Excessive sweating from the underarms (Hyperhidrosis) can often be an embarrassing issue. This results in a loss of confidence, feeling unable to wear the clothes and colours you want through fear of stains. However, it is something that can be easily treated with prescription only medicine.
Our prescription only medicine will act on the sweat glands and reduce their ability to secrete sweat. This will help to reduce the appearance of sweat stains in the area vastly. As with other similar treatments, it takes about two weeks for the procedure to reach its peak performance. The effects last from 4-12 months depending on the individual.
If you would like to find out more and are keen to discuss how we can help you best, then contact us, and we can arrange a free consultation. During the consultation, we can answer any concerns you may have and how we can best achieve the results you require.
Dr Joe explains sweat reduction treatment
Free Consultation
Here at Rejuvenate, we believe the consultation appointment is the single most important step to work with you to deliver your desired results. Initial consultations are free of charge and will be undertaken by Dr Joe Dowie BDS, BSc (GDC 26409).
At this stage, you will talk with Dr Joe to express what you consider your problem areas to be, and how you would like them to be treated. Dr Joe can then discuss in detail the specific treatments available. This enables us to tackle your needs and what type of result you would expect to get. This helps to make all treatments safe and reassuringly predictable.
It should be noted that not everyone is suitable for sweat reduction injections. The consultation allows us to tailor the treatments to your individual needs accurately. It is only on a successful assessment of your medical history and facial anatomy with a face to face consultation that we will know if you are suitable for sweat reduction treatment.
We look forward to meeting you and starting you on your journey to a more confident, refreshed you.

Aftercare instructions
Please take care to follow the following directions:
- Do not repeatedly frown or tense the area for about 1 hour after the treatment. This will help the procedure to be more productive by increasing the uptake in the targeted muscles.
- Do not rub or touch the treated area for 3-4 hours.
- Try to remain upright for 3-4 hours and do not lie down.
- Avoid exercise for 3-4 hours.
- Avoid applying make up to the area for 1 hour. After this, apply makeup gently for the next 24 hours using a light dabbing motion rather than a rubbing or spreading action.
- Do not have any facial treatments for the next 7 days. Additional therapies may cause ‘tracking’ of the Botulinum Toxin to neighbouring areas.
- If you have any concerns at all, please contact the practice. Rejuvenate is on North Street in Dudley, West Midlands. Full details on the contact page.
