Facial fillers
Facial Fillers treatment overview
A very popular treatment we offer here at Rejuvenate at North Street is helping people regain their youthful face with facial fillers, also known as dermal fillers. The dermal fillers which we use here are naturally occurring proteins called hyaluronic acid (HA), which your skin and lips are made from. By topping up the HA content, you increase the faces volume and fullness. HA helps to lock in moisture and keep the face looking youthful and dewy.
The procedure involves either a series of small injections which allows us to reduce wrinkles across the face. At Rejuvenate we pride ourselves in enhancing your natural face shape and form to give you a result that your friends and family recognise as you… just the best version of you.
The process of recapturing a more youthful you starts with a free consultation where we chat to discover what type of result you want to craft for yourself. The procedure itself takes anywhere from 15-45 minutes, depending on how much filler is required and how many areas you want treating. We use the Juvederm range (such as Volift and Voluma) which has an anaesthetic built-in to make the treatment as comfortable as possible. Typically you will feel an initial pinch as the first injection helps make the face full and beautiful, then as the anaesthetic gets to work, you gradually feel less and less.
Where can I have facial fillers?
The most popular areas include the corners of the mouth (marionette lines), the fold from the mouth to the nose (nasolabial folds) and under the eyes (tear troughs).
How long do the effects of facial fillers last?
Facial filler effects are temporary, lasting between 4-18 months, with an average of 6-9 months for most patients.
How quickly do you see the effects of facial fillers?
The effects of fillers are instantaneous. However, the look and feel will improve over around three weeks. HA is hydrophilic and will absorb 1000 times its weight in water, and this helps to hydrate the skin and give a softer and more natural feel to the area.
Does it hurt to have facial filler injections?
We use a combination of pre-anaesthetic, filler containing anaesthetic and a vibration distraction device. As a result, we ensure you are looked after and providing the most comfortable and relaxing treatment possible.
How much facial filler can I have in one session?
At Rejuvenate at North Street, Dudley, we want to sculpt beautiful features safely and predictably. Consequently, we recommend no more than 1ml in any one area at a time. This allows placement of filler in the specific area intended.
What does it cost for facial filler treatment?
Facial filler treatment costs are depending on the volume of filler used.

Aftercare instructions for facial fillers
Immediately after treatment, there may be slight redness, swelling, tenderness or itching sensation in the treated area. This is a typical result of the injection. The inconvenience is temporary and generally disappears in a few days.
- Apply an ice pack to the treated area. This will reduce any initial swelling.
- Avoid touching the treated area for 6 hours following treatment.
- Avoid washing the area with soap and water for 6 hours.
- Until the initial swelling and redness have resolved, do not expose the treated area to intense heat (e.g. solarium and sunbathing) or extreme cold.
- Avoid applying make up to the area for 6 hours. After this, light make up can be used and the area can be gently washed with soap and water.
- Avoid laser treatment, chemical peels or similar procedures as they may elicit an inflammatory reaction.
- If you have previously suffered from cold sores, there is a risk that the needle punctures could contribute to another eruption of cold sores.
- If you are taking aspirin, anticoagulant therapy, or any similar medication, these may increase the bruising and bleeding at the injection site.
- For any concerns at all, please contact the practice. Rejuvenate is on North Street, Dudley, West Midlands. Full details on our contact page.
